If your company currently has under 15 BlackBerry phones receiving their corporate email then you will need to verify your companies BlackBerry Enterprise Server to ensure you don't purchase the wrong license.  If you are unsure which BlackBerry Enterprise Server your company uses, please forward this article to your IT administrator for verification.

For IT Administrators Only:

Step 1: Login to your BlackBerry Manager. Once your BlackBerry Manager is open on the Home tab, look for the words BLACKBERRY PROFESSIONAL SOFTWARE in big words across the top of the screen. If you do not see the image below, go to step 2. If your BlackBerry Manager looks like this, you can purchase BlackBerry licenses here.



Step 2: If your BlackBerry Manager looks like the image below you have either the BlackBerry Enterprise Server or the BlackBerry Enterprise Server - Small Business Edition. 

 

Step 3: Select the Global > Accounts > License Management. If License Type is Enterprise Edition, you are using the BlackBerry Enterprise Edition.  If the License Type is Small Enterprise Edition, you are using the BlackBerry Enterprise Edition - Small Business Edition.



If you don't see a Status box and you have less than 15 users active on your BlackBerry Manager you are using the BlackBerry Enterprise Server - Small Business Edition.
